Site, context and its history were the driving forces behind the design of this summer house.

Sustainable Design
As a result within a plot of 800 m² exists an enclosure of around 22 x 14.
The enclosure is interrupted abrubtly by an old olive tree which is incorporated in the design by forming the inner courtyard.
This courtyard unites and brings together the living room, the kitchen and two bedrooms which are located on the 135 m² ground floor. The 80 m² arcaded side of the building shades an outdoor dining area and an exterior lounging space. The interior and the exterior begin to blend as the large glazed windows open. All the living spaces are looking to the 25 m² pool which is located in the heart
of the courtyard. Thus, the house is understood from the interior, from the inhabitant that swims andrelax by the water surrounded by its own shelter which creates a patio open only towards the Athenian sky
“…the design of the house is inspired from the famous ancient greek Peristyle houses. This specific type was a result of centuries of domestic evolution for the citizens of Greecebetween honest arrogance and hypercritical humility… I deliberately choose an honest arrogance, and I’ve never been sorry”

UPPER FLOOR
A stair from the entrance hall leads to
the masterbedroom. The upper floor is
30 m² and has access to a terasse facing the south and looking towards Kineta’s coastline which is only 50 meters far away
